Outfitters Jobs 2026 Requirements:
- 2–3 years of experience in Technical Design, Garment Technology, or Pattern Making, ideally within a fashion retail or luxury women’s wear setup.
- Strong working knowledge of woven fabrics (poplin, twill, satin, crepe, linen, suiting) and how they behave in construction and fit.
Job Description:
- Own the end-to-end technical development of Women’s Woven products from concept through PPS approval, keeping every milestone inside the seasonal calendar and go-to-market timelines.
- Maintain the technical development tracker for all woven options, flagging delays, fit risks, or construction issues to the Design Lead and Production at least five working days before a milestone is affected.
- Prepare and own accurate, complete spec sheets and technical CADs, including construction details, measurement charts, seam allowances, stitch types, trim callouts, and fabric placement, correct on the first pass and delivered on time.
- Hand specs and CADs to Sourcing and Production with full clarity, so nothing gets re-briefed over unclear construction, measurements, or materials.
- Manage grading charts across woven tops, dresses, skirts, trousers, and tailored pieces, keeping size progression accurate and consistent with the brand’s fit standards.
- Lead fit evaluations and wear trials on development samples, checking fit, proportion, construction quality, and silhouette against the approved design, and documenting feedback to the factory within 48 hours of each fit session.
- Track every fit iteration from Proto through PPS, keeping detailed records of comments, corrections, and approvals, and making sure revised samples clear all open points before the next round.
- Apply solid technical knowledge of woven fabrics to judge construction accuracy, fabric behavior, seam performance, and overall garment quality against the division standard.
